Machine shop quoting software

Stop rebuilding every quote from scratch.

RapidRFQ gives machine shops one controlled workflow for RFQ intake, CAD and drawing review, costing, supplier responses, approvals, and customer quotes.

Why quotes stall

The expensive part is rarely just arithmetic.

01

The inbox is the system

Customer files, due dates, clarifications, and supplier answers live across email threads and personal folders.

02

Experience does not scale

The fastest estimator knows which details matter, but the reasoning disappears when the quote leaves their desk.

03

Speed creates risk

Rushing a response can hide missing stock, an unresolved process, stale supplier pricing, or a drawing revision mismatch.

01 / 03

One path from request to controlled quote

RapidRFQ turns the request into a structured job workspace. CAD, drawings, BOMs, customer requirements, process assumptions, supplier quotes, and commercial options stay tied to the same RFQ and revision.

The system does not ask a shop to surrender estimator judgment. Geometry analysis and document extraction produce evidence, cost drivers, and review flags. Your estimator confirms the material, routing, machine assumptions, timing, and customer-facing scope before approval.

02 / 03

Built around the work a real estimator has to finish

Milling, turning, sheet metal, structural stock, assemblies, purchased components, outside processing, and inspection all create different quoting risks. RapidRFQ keeps those differences explicit instead of flattening every part into a generic price formula.

Similar-job context, shop-specific machine profiles, routing templates, material price sources, supplier responses, and revision history give the estimator a repeatable starting point. Readiness checks keep unresolved inputs visible rather than burying them in a polished total.

03 / 03

Local-first by design

RapidRFQ can run on a shop-controlled workstation or server with its application data, uploaded files, users, and backups stored locally. That makes it a practical fit for shops that do not want customer CAD moving through a mandatory multi-tenant quoting cloud.

Local-first does not mean isolated. Versioned quote APIs, vendor-neutral catalog feeds, supplier portals, customer intake, and signed customer quote links provide controlled ways to connect the workflow without turning every file into a cloud dependency.

Straight answers

What shop owners and estimators usually ask.

Does RapidRFQ automatically send prices?

No. RapidRFQ prepares and explains a quote plan, but an estimator reviews the commercial inputs and approval gates before customer release.

Can a small shop run it without a Linux team?

The product is designed for self-contained deployment, including a Windows bundle path. Windows distribution still requires target-machine qualification before broad release.

Is RapidRFQ available now?

RapidRFQ is onboarding paid, supervised pilot shops. Pilot onboarding includes shop configuration, historical-job calibration, and workflow qualification.
